For a one-of-a-kind experience on the water, River Exe Café ticks all the boxes. Open from April to September, this floating restaurant can only be accessed by boat or water taxi, with a regular water taxi service from Exmouth Marina. Specialising in local seafood, including whole Brixham crab, this unique restaurant is sure to wow you with its wonderful fresh dishes and amazing sea views.

The Great Outdoors

As one of the oldest and most picturesque coastal towns in Devon, Exmouth is a great place to get outside and explore its unique environment. Why not start at the scenic Exmouth Marina, ideally placed to allow boat owners and keen sailors superb access to the beautiful cruising waters of the Exe Estuary with an on-site chandlery, café and small shop for essentials. A great one for the summer months, Exmouth’s ‘Pirate Cove’ offers a cosy, sheltered nook that looks out towards the Exe Estuary, the ideal spot for spotting sunsets or an evening BBQ.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Orcombe Point is the most westerly point of the Jurassic Coast, offering stunning views over the Exe Estuary and out to sea. One distinctive feature you won’t miss on the Jurassic Coast is the incredible orange cliffs which can be found in Exmouth. Full of fossil-rich rocks, these incredible features symbolise a fascinating history where dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes roamed millions of years ago!
