Acorn’s new Exeter region has exchanged on the sale of 2 acres of land adjacent to their forthcoming one hundred and forty-six unit scheme at St Leonards in central Exeter. The site has been purchased by the Care and Retirement specialist Castleoak who will develop a sixty-one-bed care home along with sixty-eight assisted living units.
The care home and assisted living units, together with a pre-school, form part of Acorn’s vision for the site which includes 1 & 2-bedroom apartments and 3, 4 & 5-bedroom houses, 24% of which will provide Affordable accommodation. The Royal Academy for Deaf Education will move to new, state of the art facilities in Exmouth.
Ed Lewis, Regional Director of Acorn Exeter, said: “We look forward to developing the site with Castleoak to provide a scheme which addresses both housing and care home needs in Exeter, creating a genuine community for all ages.”
