Fairford Town FC Sponsorship

September 4, 2024

Acorn are delighted to announce a new sponsorship deal with Fairford Town FC.

We are thrilled to announce our sponsorship of Fairford Town FC, which as a result, the club’s Cinder Lane ground will now be known as the Acorn Property Group Stadium. As a company dedicated to building sustainable communities, we are proud to extend our support to grassroots sports and the local Fairford community.

This partnership will run simultaneously with our exciting plans for a unique residential development in Fairford. Plans for the site, which includes a Grade II listed old school building and 3.88 acres of land, will see the creation of 34 one- to five-bedroom homes. The development programme has already started and will be split into five phases, with the first phase of 15 two-, three- and four-bedroom houses and 2 one-bedroom apartments available for sale in the new year.

Commenting on the sponsorship, James Groombridge, Regional Managing Director for Acorn Cardiff and The Cotswolds, said: “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to sponsor Fairford Town FC and be part of the community. The redevelopment of the former Coln House School is an exciting project for us and we are delighted to be able to bring these wonderful buildings back to life for the people of Fairford.”

“We will look to preserve as much of the old, whilst introducing a contemporary feel fit for modern living. The collection of new build homes will also be sympathetically designed to fit within the rural setting of Fairford. Our plan is to create new homes that are low maintenance and energy efficient, with green initiatives that should enable homeowners to benefit from lower energy costs.”

Regarding the deal Director of Football, Jody Bevan commented:

“This is fantastic news for the club. I want to say a huge thank you to all at Acorn who have enabled this partnership to come to fruition and I look forward to working on the immediate re-branding of the stadium. We have worked incredibly hard off the pitch to try and think of new and innovative ways in which we can make the club more accessible and commercially attractive to the wider public. At a time when the costs of running a football club are rapidly rising, we are more even more grateful to secure the sponsorship from Acorn and add them to our ever-growing portfolio of commercial partners”.

Chairman, Stuart Pike, outlined his thoughts:

“Fairford Town is delighted to have teamed up with Acorn as our new stadium sponsor. We have been looking for the right company to partner with and with Acorn about to start a development in Fairford, we felt are an ideal company for us to form a partnership and association with.” Although the initial sponsorship agreement is for one year, we hope this will be the beginning of a lasting relationship that will bring many benefits to both parties”.

Our sponsorship of Fairford Town FC reflects our commitment to fostering growth, teamwork, and community spirit. By supporting the club, we aim to enhance the stadium’s facilities, creating a welcoming and thriving space for both football fans and the wider community. We look forward to seeing The Acorn Property Group Stadium become a vibrant hub for sports and community events, and we are excited to be a part of Fairford Town FC’s journey to future success.
