Acorn’s Exeter office, in partnership with Galliard Homes, has completed on the purchase of a 7.4-acre site in Chillington, South Devon where it plans to build sixty-five new homes. The development has been sensitively designed to reflect the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and comprises 3 and 4-bedroom houses, 35% of which will be affordable. Chillington is within easy reach of Salcombe and Kingsbridge and is close to the South Devon coastline.
Ed Lewis, Regional Director, Acorn Exeter said: “We were pleased to secure outline planning permission for this scheme earlier in the year and will be providing much-needed homes as soon as possible. We have worked very carefully with the local planners and community to make the most of the homes and the views of the beautiful local countryside.”
It is the second deal for Acorn’s new Exeter office, and subject to a Reserved Matters application approval, works will commence early next year.
