AWW has been working with Acorn for over a decade and we share their vision for aspirational design and attention to detail. Acorn has the knack of finding challenging sites and are able to drive the design team to produce excellent award-winning solutions.
AWW gained a planning consent at Loft House a Grade II listed building to covert the former orphanage, to residential use. The building dates back to 1857 and is part of a group of buildings designed for the missionary George Müller to house orphans. Purchased by Acorn soon after consent the apartments were re-looked at, some re-configured and mezzanines added to take advantage of the larger volumes and heights to create exciting and functional apartments.
